Norman Musa

NORMAN MUSA is the leading, award-winning Malaysian chef.

Born in Penang, where Channel 4’s Indian Summers is filmed, he is a rising star, passionate ambassador for Malaysian food and an all-round nice guy!

He has featured on Tom Kerridge’s Best Ever Dishes (BBC2), Sunday Brunch (Channel 4), MasterChef Malaysia, Islam Channel, BBC World & other TV and radio channels. He also regularly features at top food festivals around the UK, Europe and Malaysia.

Most recently, he has been appointed Kuala Lumpur’s food ambassador.

With 80,000 Facebook fans, Chef Norman has achieved much since giving up a career in quantity surveying in 2006. Self-taught and inspired by his late mum, his cooking has won the plaudits of Michelin-starred chefs, and now teaches regularly at cookery schools, including west London’s famous Leiths School of Food & Wine, in his typically engaging style.

Chef for the former Caterham Formula One team in 2010, he went on to become the UK’s Young Asian & Oriental Chef of the Year and a member of the UK Hospitality Guild’s Young Hall of Fame in 2012.

He has his own range of food products and merchandise and is working on his latest book.
